Why are we afraid of change?

Have you ever thought on changing? All of us did, some of us because they couldn’t get enough respect, and some of us because they can never be seen as a friend, instead they can be seen as the boss, dad/mom, and so on.
If you ever thought of changing, and you never did, it wasn’t by instict, it was because you think some of these questions: “What if I fail?”, “What if I make a mistake and this is not what I want?”, “What if it will be worse than it is now”.
Admit it, you are afraid of change, and it is normal, as people are afraid of the unknown.
However, this is not a reason to give up!
Let’s suppose that it doesn’t turn out as expected. So what? If you have made your life good for you before, you can do it again, and again, so don’t be afraid.
Some of us will be afraid that they will hurt the persons they love, if they do change. It is a possible outcome, but changing could lead to more patience, carefulness, empathy and so on. These being said, there are more chances of you becoming better than worse.
You just have to forget about the consequences until you change, so you see what kind of person you are, after that, just live as you did before.
