Believe it or not there are many people who are workaholics, these are people who are passionate about working
and spend many hours that is not necessary. But the true workaholics cannot stop working even in a non working situation. They are the people who make all relationships and other activities come in second place. There are various reasons for this but workaholics share similar traits.
They all have revolve around activities involving skill and skill development. They are very analytic. They focus on precise definitions, goals, policies, facts, lists, measurements and strategies. They tend to be on the aggressive side and are never able to leave things alone. In order to gain self satisfaction they must manipulate and control everything in their environment.
Workaholics are very goal oriented. The are uninterested in the sensations of the present time unless they yield products or contribute to their creation. They are overly concerned with efficiency and effectiveness. They are severely upset when they see any type of waste or loss. These people tend to have a hard time letting anyone help them. They feel if they delegate authority and have people to some of their work that it will not be done properly so because of this they have to do everything themselves. Which at times can also cause them to be inefficient, pretty ironic huh. Anyway if you know someone like this are you are one yourself, there is counseling just for these types of people and they can be helped.
