The Banana, is a sweet, white fruit with a yellow jacket. It comes from a plant and not from a tree unlike other fruits, and it is a very popular fruit to eat these days. Many people claim eating bananas is very healthy, so you may wonder, why are bananas good for you?

For the same reason, bananas are considered to play an effective role in reducing high blood pressure and stroke. The presence of potassium helps in minimizing the amount of calcium purged from the system either through urine or in secretions such as sweat, which in turn prevents the occurrence of kidney stones and also reduces the risk of osteoporosis.
The banana is rich in iron and hence is beneficial for anemic patients. Bananas can reduce stress levels too. Bananas contain tryptophan, an Amino acid, which is considered to be the building blocks of protein, which facilitate the body to produce serotonin and it in turn helps in creating a stable mood by acting on the brain. It makes you feel happier and improves your mood. It also provides a relief for those suffering from heart burns.
Bananas are very rich in fibre content and this helps in curing any bowel related problems like constipation. For those who are suffering from ulcers, it is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without discomfort. Furthermore it also helps in preventing ulcers. It counterbalances over-acidity and lessens irritation of the stomach. Bananas are helpful in the treatment of various allergies, kidney disorders, tuberculosis and urinary disorders. It is considered to be highly effective in weight reduction as it fastens the digestion and elimination process. The swelling and irritation caused by mosquito bites can be cured by rubbing the affected area with the inside of the banana skin. Bananas are rich in zinc content and this helps in strengthening the hair thereby preventing hair loss.
