Nobody can deny the importance of building blocks in any structure and proteins are the building blocks of living beings. So why is protein important could be a matter of long discussion but here these certain reasons are described briefly. Proteins plays vital role in almost all important life activities from digestion to metabolism, from internal body defense to repair and from metabolism to blood clotting.

As far as protein chemistry is concerned it is made up of 20 amino acids out of which 9 you have to ingest in the form of protein rich foods and 11 are created by your body itself. So what you need to do is just to intake required proteins proportion and rest will be done automatically. But it is possible only if this protein is not utilized or burnt as a fuel for producing energy in the body.

Though proteins are basically ingested to make out body strong and healthy therefore it is advisable to consume more carbohydrates to cater the energy needs of our body. All of us know that carbohydrates are the cheapest way to get energy so it can be utilized to fulfill body demands. If sufficient amount of energy producing food is not available in the body then it burn stored proteins and fats to keep the normal life activities running. In this way precious proteins stock is burnt out to get energy for the body which is absolutely not a healthy sign.

In case if more than 14% of required protein level is utilized for energy needs it could lead to complicated physical activities and poor mental performance. It can cause fatigue, weak eye sight, faints, lowered energy and gradual and rapid loss of mass which could result in sudden break down of normal life activities. So save this second important element of your body structure if you want to enjoy a healthy and active life.

Another important thing regarding protein break down is that plenty of water is required in this process. So if you are preparing a plan for sufficient protein intakes then do not forget to include 15 to 20 glasses of water in your daily routine to keep this process functioning on normal level.

Proteins are easily available in the form of meat, milk, organic chicken, fish, eggs, yogurt, peas, spinach, sunflower seeds, cheese, hamburgers and roasted beef, so make these foods a part of your dietary routine to keep you healthy, active and young for a along time.
