A good answer to this question should be relevant and convince the people interviewing you that you are a good candidate for the job. To come up with a good answer to this question, you need to know two things, what skills and knowledge is needed for the job you are applying for and which of these skills and qualities you have.

Researching the company and studying the job description you are carefully is something that you have to do before any interview, I suggest you note a few skills that you have that the job requires. Then you put together paragraph that you believe answers this question. Think of it like a short sales pitch, selling yourself as a candidate to the job the company is offering. There is nothing wrong with emphasizing all your good qualities, but be relevant and try not to come off as you are just bragging.

Also try to include something that makes you unique in your answer to “Why should we hire you?”. I am talking about things like, always showing up on time, never miss deadlines, fast learner, work well together with others, etc. Personal qualities are ok to include as well, like good sense of humor, good listener, good at understanding other people, etc. Qualities and skills you mention can be backed up by examples, stories from your private life or from work where you used your skills to solve some sort of problem.

Hope you found this article useful, and please do leave a comment. If you have a good answer to “Why should we hire you?” yourself, please leave your answer here as a comment and you will get feedback on it, and you will also help others struggling to find a good answer to use in an interview.

Do you wonder why the world will end in 2012? Or will the world really go under in 2012 at all? Keep reading here and also check you my 2012 calendar.

There have been countless theories throughout history about how and when the world will go under, we call them doomsday theories, apocalypse theories or just conspiracy theories if you don’t believe in them.

The reason why 2012 is special is because the Mayan calendar ends December 21, 2012. Their calendar is called the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, and it is a non-repeating calendar used by several Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican cultures, not just the Maya. This calendar counts the number of days that has passed since what the Maya believe was the creating date, August 11, 3114 BC in the gregorian calendar.

The believers in the doomsday theories of the end of the world December 21, 2012 claim there are many signs that foreshadow this event. Events they point to were the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the Tsunami in Thailand December 26, 2004, the Hurricane Katrina August 26, 2005 and the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

The believers also have different ways they believe the world will end in 2012. We have claims that there will be a magnetic pole reversal, giant earthquakes all over the world, solar storms, nuclear war and that the mystical planet of Nibiru will hit earth and end all life.

None of these theories have any support from serious scientists, and even the Mayans themselves didn’t expect the world to end in 2012. They actually believed it would be a time of great celebrations and luck as the planet would have passed through one great cycle of their calendar. All we can do is to wait and see what happens, and hope that we will still be here for Christmas 2012.

So have you ever wondered why people have Christmas Trees? Well we know that is a part of celebration for Christmas but have you ever wondered how this tradition all started? It started way back in the day with the Romans. During the New Year they would decorate their homes with branches from evergreen trees which they considered a symbol of life because they were so green in the middle of winter. At this time the early Christians were very much against this practice.

By the Middle Ages, a legend came about that when Jesus was born during the winter, all the trees in the world shook off the ice and snow and sprouted new leaves of green. At this time Christians became more lenient to practices having to do with the evergreen trees.

Records became more clear during the Renaissance of the trees symbolizing Christmas which started in Lativa in 1510. There is no real proof but it has been said that the Christmas Tree was invented by Martin Luther the Protestant reformer. Legend also has it that the Christmas tree started with medieval plays that were based on stories from the bible which were put on as a part of the Church’s worship. The Christmas tree finally became very popular in the 17th century, even though many protestants felt that it took away from the true meaning of the evergreen, being Jesus Christ. But in time Churches put their trees in their sanctuary and decorated them with lights and ornaments.

Of course it is a known fact that everyone cries, even your big tough guys have cried at least once in their lives. If you have ever asked “why do people cry” well there are thousands of reasons for why this occurs. Some people cry and produce tears without any control at all over it, for example have you ever chopped up an onion? I know I have and it makes tears come out every time without fail. Have you ever suffered from allergies or know someone with severe allergies? Normally really bad allergies cause people to produce tears. These are not caused by emotions but to lubricate your eyes. There are 3 kinds of tears – basal, tears that are caused by reflex, and of course the emotional tears.

When your eyes lubricate themselves on a regular basis this is called basal. When your eyes get irritated or something is bugging them then as a reflex they will produce tears. Now when it comes to emotional tears these are produced for several different reasons such as being sad, angry, and even when you laugh super hard it makes you cry. We also cry when we are physically hurt and researchers have found that the body does know the difference between tears of emotion or physical pain. This is just a little information on tears and why people cry, of course it goes way deeper when you start looking at it in a scientific matter on how our bodies actually create tears.

Some people do not realize the importance of exercise. So when someone asks “why is exercise so important” then they are actually asking a pretty valid question. Some people may laugh and look at them like they are stupid but it very important to exercise and I am going to share a few reasons on why.

Not exercising or being inactive is actually a major health risk. In order for your heart, lungs, and joints to function properly, you need to exercise. Have you noticed that when you first wake up in the morning and your body and joints feel somewhat stiff and if you are like me you do some stretches? I know I feel a huge difference on my flexibility and stamina after just 20 minutes of stretching first thing in the morning. Our bodies want and need exercise. To be physically fit and healthy and to improve your appearance and it actually slows down the aging process just a bit.

When you do aerobics, walking, bicycling, or swimming, you build up your stamina and your body becomes stronger and uses less energy to do the normal everyday stuff. With exercise you build up the strength of your heart, you build good posture, and it helps with flexibility. If all of this is not reason enough then do it for your family and try to be a good influence. You will be amazed at how much more energy you will have when you exercise on a regular basis. Plus I don’t feel so guilty when I go for seconds!

Basically, without water there would be no life, it is as simple as that. But if you need a more detailed answer then continue reading. Did you know that 75% of the human body is water. More then 95% of the Earth’s water can be found in the oceans. The world has about 2% of its water in frozen icecaps, and 1% of the Earths water is fresh but hard to get to since it is so deep in the Earth. From what is left over, 98% of the water is used for agriculture and the other 2% is used for all other living organisms.

We as humans depend on water to keep our right body temperature, as a transporting system, and to supply us with nutrients that it carries such as minerals, salts, and elements with which all of these things combined also help heal us and digest food. In order for our bodies to function the right way, water is like a lubricant for all of our joints. It also keeps our eyes and our mouths moist. The older we get the more we need to drink water. The average person should be drinking at least 64 ounces of water a day. If you are a heavy tea, coffee or alcohol drinker then your body needs to intake more water because those are all diuretics and they dehydrate you of all your water.

The human race depends on our water sources and with the growing population and everything that goes with it, our water is becoming more and more scarce.

Reading is so very important for obvious reasons but then there are some out there who actually do not deem it necessary. But without it where would the world be today? It is sad to know that there are many people who can not read and this can actually be a danger to themselves and others around them. For example when it comes to reading the instructions on medication bottles or danger signs. How can you get a job without filling out an application.

Reading helps people to have employment. I would say nine out of ten jobs require reading skills. This is also something that helps to develop everyone’s mind which believe it or not is a muscles, and just like all muscles we need to exercise it. There would be no new discoveries without being able to read. Everyone loves to use the Internet or especially texting is a huge thing these days and we would not be able to do it without the reading skills. How could we have great imaginations or how would we learn new skills.

So many great ideas and inventions have come from taking notes and expanding on them. Without reading and research this world would be lost. Reading is very important because this is the building of our lives and our future. A man by the name of Jonathan Kozol wrote in “Illiterate America,” quoted in “The Teacher Who Couldn’t Read,’” the main reasons people really want to read is so they can read the Bible, books & magazines and so they can teach their children.

Have you ever wondered why Gold is so valuable? There is a very simple and surprising answer to this question. It is mostly because people have made Gold to be valuable. Also due to the fact that it is very rare. It has been estimated that if all the gold in the world were to be collected it and made into a cube that it would only measure nineteen meters on all sides, which if you think about it that is really small when you take into consideration how large Earth is. The demand for Gold stays consitant as does the mining of it. It is mostly an asset, people believe that if there current currency is destroyed that Gold will always be worth money no matter what world wide. The price of it is figured out by many factors that are complex.

Gold is uniquely made up of a soft metal which makes it a cinch to forge but is super strong. Gold never corrodes, tarnish and can not rust. It has been used for centuries to make jewelry, coins and even used in various types of art. Being an element it is number 79 on the periodic table, with the symbol being Au. When it comes to chemical functions and electronics, Gold is extremely useful because it is a great conductor of electricity and heat. Did you know that just about every computer world wide has a touch of gold somewhere inside it? I was very surprised whent I first learned that piece of interesting information.

In 1624, King Charles began as ruler over England. Close to one year later he claimed that he was the man of God and wanted all the powers to be ruler of the entire country due to divine rights. He then declared that there were no need for Parliament. Now at this point the Parliament decided to stop helping with the rule of the country. To make matters worse King Charles married a girl by the name of Henrietta Maria who was Catholic and Spanish. So then the Parliament was not sure if Charles was Catholic or not, this just made their dislike for King Charles that much stronger. If things could not get any worse, King Charles hire a man by the name of William Laud to decorate all the churches and introduce a new prayer book to Scotland. This caused many riots for the people were against Charles latter steps, because they were mostly puritans which means they wanted their churches to be more simplistic. Everyone went into debt and the King had no money and in order to change the laws he needed the consent of Parliament which was not possible. The agreement was made to put the churches back to the simpler ways which just added flames to the fire of the civil war.

When the king tried to arrest 5 well known higher ups he lost most of the people who supported him and Parliament claimed him to be a tyrant. So the final outcome was that Bishops were all voted out. After the Irish rebellion, Parliament and the king felt they needed an army. So another contribution to the Civil War was that Parliament felt they should have control of the army because they knew how much the king was angered and they were afraid it would start a war. Since the people did not trust King Charles the control ended up in the hands of Parliament.
