Do you wonder why the world will end in 2012? Or will the world really go under in 2012 at all? Keep reading here and also check you my 2012 calendar.

There have been countless theories throughout history about how and when the world will go under, we call them doomsday theories, apocalypse theories or just conspiracy theories if you don’t believe in them.

The reason why 2012 is special is because the Mayan calendar ends December 21, 2012. Their calendar is called the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, and it is a non-repeating calendar used by several Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican cultures, not just the Maya. This calendar counts the number of days that has passed since what the Maya believe was the creating date, August 11, 3114 BC in the gregorian calendar.

The believers in the doomsday theories of the end of the world December 21, 2012 claim there are many signs that foreshadow this event. Events they point to were the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the Tsunami in Thailand December 26, 2004, the Hurricane Katrina August 26, 2005 and the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan.

The believers also have different ways they believe the world will end in 2012. We have claims that there will be a magnetic pole reversal, giant earthquakes all over the world, solar storms, nuclear war and that the mystical planet of Nibiru will hit earth and end all life.

None of these theories have any support from serious scientists, and even the Mayans themselves didn’t expect the world to end in 2012. They actually believed it would be a time of great celebrations and luck as the planet would have passed through one great cycle of their calendar. All we can do is to wait and see what happens, and hope that we will still be here for Christmas 2012.

Michael Jackson had a skin disease called Vitiligo which is also known as leucoderma. The definition of Vitiligo is “Vitiligo: Pronounced vit-uh-LIE- go. A condition in which the skin turns white due to the loss of melanocytes. These cells produce melanin, the pigment that gives the skin its characteristic color. (Melanocytes also impart color to the retina of the eye and the mucous membrane tissues lining the inside of the mouth, nose, genital and rectal areas). In vitiligo, the melanocytes are mysteriously destroyed, leaving de-pigmented patches of skin on different parts of the body. The hair that grows in areas affected by vitiligo may also turn white.”

Although there were many speculations about his skin condition in the 90′s, the media and the public portrayed him as turning his back on his own African heritage. He was said to have been bleaching his skin so he would look like a white man. It was not until his appearance on the Opera Winfrey show in 1993 that he announced on nationwide television that he had the skin disease “vitiligo” which was confirmed by his doctor; Arnold Klein, in 1994. His doctor testified that this diagnosis was made in 1984 along with Michael Jackson having lupus erythematosus which both of these diseases cause pigmentation loss of the skin. Michael had to undergo several plastic surgeries to correct the damages caused by both diseases which in turn drastically changed his appearance. We may never know how much of this story is true if at all.

Why are people so stupid is a question you hear a lot, so why not make an article about this question here? This is usually a question people ask others out of frustration when they’ve had a bad day or met someone they didn’t get along with. Who is stupid usually depends on the eye of the beholder, and it is often used to describe someone with a different opinion than yours, especially when it is on a matter that is very important to you.

Why are people so stupid is a pretty stupid question actually, and it doesn’t really have any good answer. Some people score low on IQ tests and you can argue that these people are not intelligent, but the word stupid is usually not used for these people. Calling people of low intelligence stupid is not considered decent behaviour, and the word stupid keeps being used to describe people you disagree with instead. This is a misuse of the word obviously, but that’s usually what people mean when they ask this question.

There are many different definition of the word stupid, the most common ones are “slow to learn and understand”, “pointless or worthless” and “tending to make poor decisions or careless mistakes”. The last definition is sometimes the one people think about when they ask the question “why are people so stupid?”. Then the question is usually asked when people hear or read about someone getting in trouble making a poor decision. The question is usually not asked out of frustration in this situation, but more in a surprised way or to make fun of the people in the story.

It can be interesting seeing what suggestions Google Suggest turns up with when you start typing in a search phrase into google. One of the funny ones that several blogs have mentioned is the “Why is there a dead Pakistani on my couch?” phrase which googles suggest even if you only type in the two words “why is”. “Why is there a dead Pakistani on my couch?” is actually a quote from Lost, and I have embedded a video clip with this quote below.

The reason google suggest this phrase as soon as you type in “why is” would probably be cause of many people searching for this phrase after ths episode aired. So this phrase actually does have an explanation, and I’m sure there are similar explanation for most of the other weird suggestion Google throws up in your search box every now and then.

When you type your search Google Suggest communicates with Google and comes back with these phrases. If you’re signed in to your google account with web history enabled the suggestions with be drawn from searches you have done before as well as searches from people all over the world. Suggestions are also drawn from sites in their index and ads in their advertising network.

It’s simple really, I wanted to have a very easy name for people to remember. At the same time I didn’t want to spend a large amount of money buying a domain name. 2. November 2007 the last four letter domain name was registered, so I knew I would have to choose at least a five letter domain name.

I wanted to have the word “why “in the domain name, as explaining people why is what whyld is all about. Most five letter domains containing the very common word “why” were already taken when I came up with the idea for this website, and whyld was simply the best sounding one left out there. I am quite happy with whyld.com to be honest, and I hope you as a reader will enjoy the content here.
